The European Commission has approved the new business support program, financed with the 82 billion Czech crowns in OP TAK European funds.
At the end of June, the European Commission approved the new OP TAK European-funded business support program. The Operational Program Technologies and Applications for Competitiveness is a great opportunity for entrepreneurs in the Czech Republic to strengthen their development through innovative solutions, digitization and automation and be competitive in the market while respecting sustainability.
The program has CZK 82 billion focused on five different priorities. Priority 1: Enhance business research, development and innovation performance and their digital transformation. Priority 2: Developing entrepreneurship and competitiveness of SMEs. Priority 3: Digital infrastructure development. Priority 4: Transition to a low-carbon economy. Priority 5: more efficient use of resources.
OP TAK priorities are further divided into specific objectives, under which specific calls for support of individual activities will be announced. The main policy objectives are to strengthen the R&D and innovation performance of enterprises and their digital transformation, to make the Czech Republic greener and carbon-free, and to bring the Czech Republic closer to its citizens, which means to invest in integration and participation between territories.
“The first calls concerning energy, research, development, and innovation will be opened as early as the summer,” said Minister Jozef Síkela, and most will be directed to small and medium-sized enterprises, to encourage their development. Some will also be open to larger companies.
