For self-employed workers and individuals, the first deadline for submitting the tax declaration is approaching.
The financial administration will extend the office hours at the tax offices in the last week before this deadline to manage the influx and will help to collect the returns even in the municipalities where the offices of the financial authorities are not located.
The offices will be operational from 28 March to 1 April 2022 from 8:00 to 17:00. According to statistics, about a third of the expected declarations have so far returned.
For self-employed workers and individuals there are some new features this year. Unlike the other years, the second rate of 23 percent also includes passive income, for example from rent or capital. The threshold starts at 1.7 million crowns. The deduction for the taxpayer goes to 27,840 crowns.
The deadline for submitting tax returns electronically (e.g. via the MY Tax Portal), if not submitted by 1 April, is one month longer and the last day for online submission is therefore Monday 2 May 2022. If the tax return has not been filed by 1 April and is filed on behalf of the taxable person by a tax consultant or lawyer, the deadline for its presentation is longer, by Friday 1 July 2022. The same term applies to tax entities that have a legal obligation to have their financial statements audited.
