National Recovery Plan: new call for enterprises

The Czech Ministry of Industry and Trade has launched a new call for companies that take measures to reduce or recycle water

The new announcement will provide funds from the National Recovery Plan in the amount of SEK 1 billion to all businesses operating throughout the Czech Republic. In particular, Industry and Trade Minister Jozef Síkela emphasises: “We want to support the area of sustainable water management as much as possible. Support is therefore focused on measures to save water and optimise the use of water in the corporate sphere in the context of implementing the principles of the circular economy and adapting the economy to climate change”.

The supports put in place are therefore intended to contribute to the reduction of the annual consumption of water used daily in the various production processes. From 12 May until 30 September 2022, it will be possible to apply for the contribution. The amount of the contribution will be the same for all those who apply and can cover up to 40% of the recognised costs up to a maximum of 25 million kroner. The Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade for EU funds, Marian Piecha, clarifies what the requirements are to be eligible for support: “The evaluation of business plans is based on the methodology of water use assessment, i.e. the so-called water audit of the company within the project,” and adds that a saving of at least 5% of consumption and 100 cubic meters of water per year must be achieved.
