The Czech Republic embraces innovation. As part of the European operational program “Technology and Applications for Competitiveness” (OP TAK)<\/strong>, the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MPO)<\/strong> will allocate 1.5 billion Czech crowns to support innovative IT projects for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) as well as small mid-cap enterprises.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Applications can be submitted from February 18, 2025, to May 30, 2025, via the ISKP21+<\/a> portal. However, if the number of applications is particularly high, the deadline may be moved forward, but not before Thursday, March 13. Additionally, the Ministry does not rule out the possibility of further increasing the available funding.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The General Director of the Department of Economy, EU Funds, and Institutional Activities of MPO has stated that OP TAK’s financial support aims to foster the development and implementation of technologies based on advanced scientific and technical knowledge, requiring specialized skills. The plan will focus on Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Big Data analysis, cybersecurity, robotics, innovative technologies in the healthcare sector, sustainable energy, and low-emission solutions.<\/p>\n\n\n

According to MPO, OP TAK will provide new funding opportunities, particularly for the development of software, digital platforms, cloud services, and artificial intelligence algorithms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Technology and Applications for Competitiveness operational program has a total budget of 81.5 billion Czech crowns and will conclude in 2027. This initiative is the successor to the Enterprise and Innovation for Competitiveness program, which between 2014 and 2020 invested 100 billion Czech crowns to support the sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The funds will cover expenses related to external services, staff salaries, and other essential costs associated with project implementation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For this initiative, MPO has allocated a total of 1.5 billion Czech crowns.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The OP TAK 2021-2027<\/strong> program is one of the key European initiatives supporting entrepreneurs. It aims to enhance the added value of businesses, promote the creation of innovative enterprises, and facilitate the transition to a more sustainable and digital economy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
