This strong performance highlights the resilience of the fiscal system and provides valuable insights for businesses. Corporate income tax showed one of the most notable increases, up by 13.3% to CZK 258.5 billion. This result is directly linked to the recent change in the tax rate, which rose from 19% to 21%, impacting companies\u2019 financial and tax planning. At the same time, the extraordinary profits tax recorded an even sharper increase of 20.9%, bringing in CZK 32.9 billion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>VAT as the Main Source of Revenue<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The largest source of revenue remains value-added tax (VAT), which generated CZK 445.5 billion, an increase of 6.5% compared to the same period last year. This result confirms the central role of consumption in driving national fiscal performance and underlines VAT\u2019s strategic importance for the state budget. Excise duties also contributed positively, with CZK 130.8 billion collected, up 3.9%. Meanwhile, personal income tax showed particularly strong growth, reaching CZK 211 billion, which represents an increase of 10.4%. Together, these figures illustrate a broad-based strengthening of the tax system across both corporate and individual contributions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Slight Decline and Business Implications<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The only exception to this positive trend is a slight decrease in the tax on employment income withheld at source, marking the sole negative entry in the revenue balance. Overall, however, the data confirm a substantial reinforcement of public finances and a fiscal environment that companies, especially small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), must carefully monitor.
