During the “Successful Czech Republic” conference, entrepreneurs and politicians discussed the topic. Overall, the message was clear: current measures are no longer enough.

Today, many companies struggle to manage all the rules. As a result, work slows down and costs increase. Therefore, the demand for deeper change is steadily growing.

Current Measures Are Not Enough

Over the past few years, the government has introduced several packages to reduce bureaucracy. However, these measures have had limited effects. At the same time, new regulations continue to increase.

The main problem is simple: some rules are removed, while many more are added. Consequently, the system remains complex and difficult to manage.

Moreover, both businesses and public administration must spend more time on documentation and compliance checks.

A System That Is Too Complicated

The President of the Chamber of Commerce, Zdeněk Zajíček, clearly described the situation. In fact, he compared the system to a road full of traffic signs.

According to him, there are too many rules, and they are often unclear. In some cases, they even contradict each other. This situation creates confusion and increases the risk of mistakes.

Because of this, companies do not always know how to act. As a result, it becomes harder to do business and plan for the future.

The Demand: A “Systemic Brake”

For this reason, entrepreneurs are calling for a more structured solution. Specifically, they want a system that continuously monitors new regulations.

One concrete proposal is to create a dedicated body. In particular, this institution should evaluate the impact of new laws and reduce unnecessary obligations.

Ultimately, the goal is clear: prevent bureaucracy from growing without control.

The Role of the Government

At the same time, the government recognizes the problem. Prime Minister Andrej Babiš has invited businesses to propose practical solutions.

Meanwhile, Minister of Industry Karel Havlíček announced several quick measures. He described them as “ten steps against bureaucracy.” In the short term, these actions should bring some benefits.

Nevertheless, many experts stress that deeper and more lasting reforms are needed.

The Impact of European Regulations

Importantly, a significant part of the rules comes from the European level. In 2025, the European Union adopted more than 2,500 legislative acts.

Subsequently, many of these rules are incorporated into the Czech system. Once introduced, they become difficult to change or remove.

Therefore, it is essential to evaluate new regulations more carefully already at the European level.

Towards More Efficient Management

To address this issue, experts propose concrete tools. For example, “obligation tables” help measure the impact of new regulations.

In this way, the system can become clearer and more manageable. As a result, excessive regulation can be avoided.

Conclusion

In conclusion, the Czech Republic faces an important challenge. Reducing bureaucracy is essential to support economic growth.

Clearly, current measures are no longer enough. Instead, a systemic and continuous approach is required.

Only then will it be possible to create a simpler and more business-friendly environment.

AI Image

Link: https://www.businessinfo.cz/clanky/podnikatele-stale-zadaji-systemove-reseni-prebujele-regulace-antibyrokraticke-balicky-jsou-malo/

Too Much Bureaucracy Is Holding Back Czech Companies In recent years, bureaucracy has become a central issue for the Czech economy.
