The government has postponed the deadline for the <strong>self-payment<\/strong> of Covid tests. &#8220;In the whole <strong>Europe<\/strong> there is a tendency to an increase in covid cases&#8221;, said Minister Vojt\u011bch on the development of the coronavirus infection.<\/p>\n<h3>Covid test: insurance will cover the costs<\/h3>\n<p>Last week, the government decided that health insurance companies will pay for tests to people under the age of <strong>18<\/strong> or to people who cannot be vaccinated for health reasons or who have not yet completed their vaccination. Opposition parties have repeatedly called on the government to continue paying for covid-19 tests to all citizens. Currently, the insurance covers <strong>two covid-19 PCR tests<\/strong> and<strong> four antigen tests<\/strong> per month. This frequency will be maintained. &#8220;We do not expect full tests in companies,&#8221; Vojt\u011bch also said.<\/p>\n<h3>The matter of masks<\/h3>\n<p>Also on Monday, the government approved an extension of the VAT exemption for <strong>FFP2<\/strong> and higher masks until the end of October. The government introduced a temporary abolition of the 21% Value Added Tax on face masks in early February and was originally scheduled for just two months. Last week, Finance Minister <strong>Alena Schiller<\/strong> announced that she would propose to extend the measure for another two months until the end of October.
