The main reason is the passivity of the government, which has failed to prepare viable support for families and businesses against inflation. The unions are therefore proposing measures such as a IVA reduction, price cap, increasing in the minimum wage, and general business support.<\/p>\n<p>However, employers do not agree: they argue that costs are too high (especially energy and fuel) to be able to afford an increase in wages to employees. What&#8217;s more, they are asking for the introduction of part-time jobs to keep energy expenses down; which is also demanded by the unions.<\/p>\n<p>Labor Minister Marian Jure\u010dka (KDU-\u010cSL) said he is working on subsidies regulation. The proposed regulation must then be approved by the European Commission.
