To mitigate the effects of higher fuel prices on businesses and self-employed workers the Czech government has decided to suspend the payment of the tax on company cars
The government has approved the suspension of the tax on means of transport with weight within 12 tons.
The suspension also for heavy vehicles is not possible due to a community constraint.
Freelancers and companies will therefore not have to pay the April advance, with a lower revenue for the state of about four billion crowns.
Another novelty, always aimed at moderating the rise in prices at petrol stations, is linked to the suspension of the introduction of a biological component in fuels. This measure could lead to an estimated cost decrease within 2 crowns per liter.
In concert with this maneuver, the controls by the regulatory bodies on fuel sellers will be increased, which will not have to profit from this situation by applying an excessive margin.
These are the three proposals of the government.
“It is our oil clover. It is something that can help immediately and, at the same time, the state budget, which we must pay attention to even in this difficult situation, to protect people’s savings and money, is burdensome. The European Council, which will meet on Thursday and Friday, will discuss with other European leaders that European countries will face the effects of the war in solidarity and together, not only economically “, said Prime Minister Fiala.
